Bali

Bali was a place of self discovery and reflection.

This was another place I totally fell in love with for so many reasons, the views, the culture, the people, the food and so much more. It is a magical place with people smiling continuously. We started in the relaxing Nusa Dua with sand softer than silk and sea the perfect temperature and stillness to walk straight in.

We then headed across to the island of Gili Air where we stayed in a little wooden hut with an outdoor bathroom, which was something to get used to! You could walk around the island in an hour and the best part is they dont allow vehicles not he island so there is no noise or smell pollution from the exhaust fumes. Instead you get around either by foot, bike or horse and carriage! The locals not he island were so welcoming and many a night we sat exchanging stories and playing guitars. The snorkelling here was beautiful, so many colours.

After here we headed to the famous Ubud which really gives an insight into the Balinese culture. We visited rice fields, cooked in a locals home and enjoyed the meditative sounds of the jungle. There are so many temples to visit in Ubud and also the rest of Bali.
